Mike Davis

Founding Director

Mike is passionate about the role that organisations can play in creating social value and developing more connected and prosperous communities. He is a former health and social policy advisor, researcher and consultant. He has strong public, private, social enterprise and not for profit experience.

He has previously provided a range of services to socially and ethically motivated organisations through his former social business – Aegis Advisory, established in 2014. He has facilitated successful collaborative workshops, led strategic change programs and delivered impactful presentations to big groups.

Mike is an AFL fanatic, serviceable indoor soccer player, chilli lover and a Director of SIMNA – Australia’s peak social impact measurement body. His purpose is to help you realise your organisational purpose and strategic goals.

Aira Firdaus

Trainee Consultant

Aira joined Purposeful as a Trainee Consultant in 2016. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Environment & Sustainability (specialising in corporate sustainability) at Monash University. She believes that creating social value has tremendous potential to help address some of the most entrenched environmental and social issues facing the world today.

Aira has significant experience working as an external auditor at KPMG working with private companies, family businesses, listed companies, not-for-profits and foreign-owned subsidiaries for 4 years. She has also worked as an analyst for the Malaysian Government in the Securities Commission.

In her spare time, Aira volunteers with a not-for-profit called Climate for Change where she facilitates gatherings at people’s homes to create the social climate in Australia for effective climate action. In her spare time Aira likes to run, do yoga, scuba dive and travel.

Isabel Zbukvic

Wellbeing Advisor

Isabel has recently joined the Purposeful team as a Wellbeing Advisor. She is about to complete her PhD in Behavioural Neuroscience (investigating what happens in the brain to drive both healthy and unhealthy behaviours) at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience & Mental Health.

As an expert in mental health, Isabel understands that a mentally healthy workplace is a productive workplace, which inspires innovation and growth. Isabel has extensive experience across a range of professional areas including project management, data analysis, and communications.

She is an award-winning public speaker, and her written work has been published in journals internationally. When she’s not working, Isabel loves to spend time with her dogs, cook (and eat!), craft, and travel.

Olivia Fay

Growth Lead

Olivia joined the Purposeful team in 2017 as a Growth Lead. She completed a Bachelor of International Studies in 2015, majoring in economics, where she gained an insight into many of the social and environmental issues facing our world today.

With a desire to further her study of the economic dimensions of some of these global issues, she is currently undertaking a Master of Economics at Monash University. Wanting to align her professional aspirations with some of her personal values, Olivia feels passionate about helping business play a more active role in society.

In her spare time, Olivia volunteers with the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, a not-for-profit providing a range of programs and services to people seeking asylum. New to Victoria, Olivia enjoys spending her weekends camping, heading to the beach, catching some live music and just generally exploring her new surroundings!

Roy Ho

Growth Lead

Roy joined the Purposeful team in 2017 as a Growth Lead. He graduate from the University of Melbourne (BCom), and undertook his studies in Management and Finance. He is also certified from Wharton Business School in Marketing.

Roy has had valuable experience in the startup and B Corp sectors, having working at Groupon and KeepCup. He is passionate about helping businesses achieve their strategic goals through holistic approaches that maximise social impact.

An avid fisherman, you will often find Roy at the rivers and piers of Melbourne. He enjoys playing basketball, watching movies and listening to jazz. He volunteers through Oaktree, Microlend Australia and World Literacy Foundation to take action against global poverty.

Marie Chung

Partnerships Lead

Marie has joined Purposeful as the Partnerships Lead. She has completed her Masters in Social Policy and has worked in the Not-for- Profit sector for over 6 years in various positions working in collaboration with the most disadvantaged social groups to community organisations and corporations.

Marie is passionate about bringing together the most diverse communities and social groups to develop mutually beneficial relationships. She believes in the power of empathy to create social change.

Outside of work, Marie lives and breathes her philosophy on empathy. She runs her own storytelling project, Behind The Label, where she works closely with volunteers to publish stories from diverse social groups online and invites storytellers to her community events. She also is an avid yogie; a prime opportunity for her to reflect on her own engagement with the world and how to continuously understand herself and others.
